Wasn't it the IL QSO Party that used to run on the same Sunday as Pa QSO a
few years back? I actually miss that -- made working stations on Sunday
afternoons suddenly easier, since you had this influx of stations in the
"other" contest on.
Same thing, even further back, when the ARRL moved their quarterly "Open CD
Party" (basically a QSO Party for all of the Field Appointees -- the Open
ones meant anyone could participate) to coincide with Pa QSO Saturday
Evening. I remember being initally against it, after the move was made
(remember, this happened right after Pa QSO moved to October because the
ARRL September VHF contest had been moved to the old PaQP weekend), but it
turned out to be a great thing because it made getting MidWest and West
Coast mults a lot easier on 40 those evenings!

Hello All,
Just a reminder that our friends in IL are having their party today. I
don't know about you, but I had a ton of IL stations in my log this year.
The IL guys would sure appreciate all the PA stations that can get on. It
runs for 8 hours from 2 PM to 10 PM EDST.

Hal W1NN
