[PaQSO] ONE OTHER WAY TO SPICE UP THE SCORING IN PAQP

I'd rather just have a regular qso with a guy for five minutes durng a
contest than do a QTC. Learning his name, QTH, and his dog's name would be
more worthy of my time than copying his last 10 contacts. :-) The PA QSO
Party is the contest that isn't a contest in my book. It's friendly and
it's fun for all levels of operators. Not that contests aren't friendly,
but you know what I mean. One signature of this operating event is
operators yielding the frequency for other operatars to pick up a rare
county. Another neat thing is the impromptu nets. I think PAQP operators
are more likely to change frequency when they're asked to move. We all
trade scores, but it's not about the scores, it's about the camaraderie.
My point ? <"Pomp and Circumstance" playing in the background :-) > The PA
QSO Party has a distinct personality that makes it stand above other
operating events. We should strive to preserve its unique flair and not
attempt to unneccessarily augment it or make it like those other "contests".
My $0.03 :-)
