[PaQSO] ONE OTHER WAY TO SPICE UP THE SCORING IN PAQP

I have always regarded "If it ain't broke...." as a rather regressive way of
looking at things.
I cannot answer all the problems associated with a new scoring mechanism, but
suffice it to say that IF it were to become popular, then the software
writers would follow in suit and modify their programs. NA currently does
not have an express way of logging County Line stations but that does not
stop us from logging them and so it would be with QTCs: You would just have
to keep a written list of them (gosh!) and add them as bonus points.
As for the point about QTCs being a pain for Rovers and Mobiliers..hey..what
do you want for my life? IF they want the added points, they log them, if
they don't, they don't. I am a mobilier and freely accept that it's a bit
harder to log as a mobilier..that is just part of being in the mobile
class...if I want the QTCs,,I log them and if too much a pain, I ignore them.
What gives?
The point is that Sunday needs something to keep stations on the air. As it
is now, I think most guys are done and off the air by early afternoon on
Sunday. Seperating multipliers by mode and allowing QTCs on Sunday (you can
report that super-duper log you compiled on Saturday!) both would make Sunday
something more than "sittin' in front of the rig just trying to find the one
last guy I haven't already worked!" (Read : Sunday IS broke. LOL).
All in all, I love this contest!
All just thoughts!
