If I want to operate from a portable, (or mobile or rover), location
one day and from home the next, I would sign W3TDF/SUL for
the portable location, and W3TDF/BUX from home. You submit
2 different logs. Just for discussion, if you are doing this type of
operating then you surely are not out to make a big splash, but
just to have fun. On the other hand, the guy on the other end
wants both contacts to count without trying to satisfy the DUPE
phase of the logging program. I log all of my mobile contacts
this way. When I first enter his call, knowing he is mobile, as
an example, I type in W3HDH/X. Then when he gives me his
number and county, I tab back to the call and change the X to
the county abbreviation. That way I never get a DUPE.
