The interactive scores section is part of what the ARRL HQ staff has done to
enhance coverage of contests on the web page, since line scores (except for
Field Day) will not be published in QST in future years. Now we can play
with scores in all kinds of ways.
I had fun with the Field Day line scores, for example, looking at many
different aspects of how my home club stacked up in our category, in our
ARRL Section, and so on. This will make a much more fact-filled Field Day
follow-up article in my newsletter than I've been able to write in previous
years.
Section Managers like N3MSE can pull out all the Field Day scores from their
Section, and sort them by category and then by score, something that wasn't
possible in the past. Wish I could have done that when I was SM in EPA, but
that was in the mid-1980's, and we had to compute our scores on an abacus
back then. Or that's what it seems like from today's perspective. 73 - Kay
