Let your computer send the CW exchange.  I use NA
and it's great.  I don't even have a key hooked up when
I'm contesting.  If I need to send something other than
the exchange I switch to keyboard mode and key away.
The speed is exactly what I set it at, the spacing is 
perfect and it never makes a mistake.
