[PaQSO] Verify Logs

I agree with your opinion on this Cliff but I have a feeling that this would
be similar to golf rules (my other hobby that I enjoy probably more than ham
radio). That is, only the folk with any sense of honor are going to adhere
to them.
However, if someone suffers a computer crash or software glitch, and lost
several contacts because of it, I will be more than happy to search my logs
to see if I worked them and advise them accordingly. In my opinion, that's
not a "rub of the green" and is in fact a failure not attributable to the
operators abilities.
And yes folks, I know many view the PaQP as more of a social event than a
contest and therefore might feel that after contest fills are okay. I
respect that opinion, however, I choose to view it as a contest, and believe
that if I make a mistake in the heat of the event, that's on me, and
assuming the logs are checked for accuracy, I'll lose those that I goofed
on.
On another topic, I've already seen a lot of cool ideas on the reflector,
and one that stands out big time is the person (I apologize I can't recall
who it was) who is going to have a web site where we can enter our PaQP
operating location information ourselves, on line. I like that.
Is everybody ready for the contest season? This coming weekend is the ARRL
CW Sweepstakes, and I plan on a full 24 hour effort. Hope to hear you on
the air.
Best regards.

Subject: [PaQSO] Verify Logs
I was wondering how long after the Pa Qso Party is over that we are allowed
to verify our logs via the internet or QRZ. If I didn't get all of the
proper information during the contest, can I still use electronic means to
confirm my information three weeks after the close of the contest ? I just
heard some operators on 2 meters discussing how they were able to find "his
number or his county or some other part" of the info that they missed during
the contest. It is now three weeks later. We MIGHT JUST AS WELL SAVE ALL OF
OUR CONTACTS WE MADE THIS YEAR AND USE THEM NEXT YEAR. This is another
thing that needs to be addressed in the rules .
