 As long as we are looking at numbers, here's some more.

 I took the total county scores and divided them by number of stations for
 each year. This gives us average points per station for each year.

 In 1987, we averaged 21,520 for each station; This number has risen over
the
 years to a high of 36,472, in 1998. 2001 was 32,020. To what do we account
 this increase? I would say computer logging has had the most to do with it.
 OH, well, I guess I'd better get back to work, else I wind up working the
 party from a cardboard box. :-)
