Nice to see that the PAQP Reflector is already humming with activity.
This is Tim, N8LXR, in Philadelphia. Took 3rd last year in the PAQP Mobile
Class and due to the kind plaque sponsorship of Blair, K3YD, I have a nice
plaque one the wall for placing First in the First Time Entrant Division.
Looking to do better in the mobile class this year but with W1NN/W3USA in the
contest, I have my work cut out for me!
Guys/gals, I know this is the PAQP Reflector so I won't take up too much
space on this issue, but I have recently become involved in trying to breathe
some life into the
NJ QSO Party, have kind of volunteered to promote it.
Its August 17th and 18th, go to the SM3CER Contest Calendar for August and
you will find the current rules.
I have a website for it, but we just posted it today and the QSL.NET Server
will not
display it until later on tomorrow. When I know its up and running I will
let you know.
Also doing a targeted E mail campaign inviting folks to get into NJQP, you
may have received one.
If any of my fellow PAQP Ops could help us out by getting into it, if even
for a few hours, it would help. With the measures we have taken, I think the
activity will be better than ever. Nothing like PAQP,,,but in the future,
wouldn't it be nice to have
two super-active State Parties that are, for a lot of us, right in our
backyard.
Really looking forward to October! Different driver this year who does not
have to go to the men's room every 10 miles,,,,,that should boost my score
plenty!
73 and can't wait for the games to begin!
