[Paham] ASSISTANCE NEEDED

I am directing this to any 9700 owners who use it for repeater use.
I can get the radio to do the 600khz up/down no problem.
I am having a hell of a time with putting in pl's.the advanced manual reads: to go to the function "box" and press it.It should reveal a tone box. (( ((I get to the function tab by pressing "settings"))The problem is no matter where I go there is no tone box/indicators ;-( I am sure its operator error on my part--I am hoping someone can walk be through this either here or my phone 570-954=7990
