Bob - Though I am not familiar with this specific antenna, elements =
being
'cut shorter" results in a higher resonant freq nearly 100% of the time, =
not
a lower one. If the lowest freq shown is 52Mhz, it likely means that =
you
will not be able to get resonant performance below that. - Kel WA3YSU

Subject: [NECENTRLPASCANNING] Diamond V 2000A

I am wondering if anyone on the list can assist me.

I recently bought a Diamond V 2000A, which tuning is preset for 2 and =
440
but=20
allows an adjustment for 6 meters.

The 6 meter tuning instructions shows a chart for shortening/lengthing =
one
of=20
the radials for 6 meters. The chart shows the lowest freq of 52 MHz. I =

assume by cutting the "rod" shorter will allow the antenna to tune =
around
50. 5=20
MHz.

Has anyone run into this situation? Is there a possibility that setting =
the

antenna at 52 MHz would allow it to play at the lower part of the band
without=20
MEGA high SWR? OR is it a situation the SWR would not be acceptable??

Thanks in advance and 73'
