[Pactor] Anyone used a TS-570S with the PTC-II?

Hi All:

    I'm about to take delivery of a PTC-II, for use with my Kenwood 
TS-570.  I know that the PTC-II only does TTL level from the radio 
control port, while the TS-570 uses RS-232 levels.

   Does anyone know if I can have the PTC-II control the 570 just by 
using a TTL->RS232 level converter?  Obviously it will work physically, 
but I'm more concerned as to whether the modem will issue the correct 
commands to the rig.
