Hi Chuck,
sorry for the late reply. Was busy with other things and additionally the
mail was sorted away in my mailprogram :)
Airmail is a program which you can use to connect to the Winlink 2000 BBS
(off course it has a small "chat" mode included but this is not the main
purpose of the program). It mainly serves as an interface. You can send and=
receive email and packet mail as you can do with Netscape e.g. You just
write the mails and let Airmail and the PTC do the rest. The PTC connects
to the BBS and exchanges data in a binary format (that is the "garbage" you=
see on the screen"). When everything is finished the programm disconnects
and goes back to standby. Very convienent I think :).
You can download a copy at www.airmail2000.com and if you are interested
you may check out the following mailing list: [email protected].=
To subscribe send an email to mailto:[email protected]=
. That is everything. From that point you are subscribed to the mailing
list. Another interesting link might be (I am not sure abt. the url).
www.winlink.org . If this does not work use www.google.com and do a search=
for winlink. That should do it.
Hope that helped a little bit.
