I've been using Fedora Core 3 ever since I discovered my disks were
good, that it was the check sum check that was faulty. Judging by the
dates of some config files since November 2004. I have Fedora Core 6 on
another machine but it didn't let me customize loading, though what it
has works. Just some things I want weren't offered.

For hamming, I use flpuppy which is puppy linux and fldigi already
loaded. It handles DVDs with no added drivers.

Core 3 has been stable and productive.
