Thanks to all that replied.One suggestion was to ring out the rs-232
cable.As I was told the cable had been used with this TNC I discounted
checking it.Well, the cable is a non-standard rs-232 config and the tx data
was crossed with the sig ground.I just ordered the correct cable.I know
better than to assume anything but oh well!!
