You're free to do whatever you like, but....
How about we start again?
There is no point trying to start the ax25 stuff until you get the TNC into
KISS mode.
For now you can hash out the stuff you don't need to get into KISS mode.
Make absolutely sure you are using the right serial port.
Send me a copy of your /etc/ax25/axports.
Copy/paste what you have in your script (don't type it) so I can see and run
it here.
Run that script and show the output here so I can see what you are doing.
We can go back further again if you are still stuck.
We can also take this off list if you like. The point and click brigade might
be getting bored.
