A "high power" USB device is allowed up to 500 mA. A "low power" device is
allowed up to 100 mA. Some USB hubs (like those often found in a keyboard)
will only supply the 100 mA current. A USB device is supposed to reduce
power consumption when told to, or when sleeping.
