I have just been advised by the State of Oregon that some state agencies
have been receiving copies of a new email which claims to come from
Microsoft. The email includes links the sender claims are related to
downloading a copy of Internet Explorer 7.

If any email matching this decription should slip through our filters, Under
no circumstances are you to click on the link. This is an attempt by the
sender to spread copies of a new virus. If you get a copy of an email like
this, call us at 3370, 3372, 3001 immediately.

Unless the senders change tactics over the weekend, steps we've taken will
reject those emails.
