Greetings, All,
Just a reminder about Oregon's digital nets - they are being called on KFC
on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 1701Z. The opening call
modes are AMTOR, AMTOR, PACTOR, AMTOR respectively.
If propagation is such that most Oregon stations cannot be heard by the NCS,
the net will be moved to the alternate frequency of KDD. If one cannot hear
digital signals by ten minutes after the hour, one should check the
alternate frequency to see if the net has been moved. In some cases, moving
to the alternate frequency may not be better conditions than the primary,
and if one cannot hear signals on the alternate, one should revert back to
the primary frequency.
We understand that some out-of-state checkins may not be able to copy the
alternate frequency when given by the NCS and net members, but we should
bear in mind that this is basically an Oregon digital net and the
operability of Oregon stations must be the first consideration.
