[OMIK] HBCUs on the AIR QSO party

Janelle,
Your questions raise the possibility of a different approach: the
possibility of Individual activations that occur asynchronously at
different schools and times. In other words, like POTA activations or
dxpeditions.
OMIK could announce each activation in advance and hams would get
points for hunting the activated site--giving activators something to
demonstrate or present to an audience. Activators should get bonus
points for running GOTA stations and giving a presentation about
amateur radio, and hunters should also get recognition for helping
during a demonstration or presentation.
We could keep the annual QSO party AND support individual activations.
We could use google forms to manage the individual activations. We
would need a team to manage and automation to manage the log
submissions and scoring.
What do y'all think?
