This email has the minutes of the July 19th Membership meeting. Also
attached is the CHAT session from that same meeting.
A suggested Bylaws Amendment as written by Dr Eric Kareem AK3G is also
attached. This will be taken under advisement by the By-Law Committee, and
reported back to the membership with recommended changes/updates.

Summary
Youth Ham Radio App Development
Pamela discussed her ongoing project to develop a youth-focused ham radio
app, which she is partnering with the TMT Youth Community Foundation to
enhance. She requested support from Omi, including access to a development
platform, and proposed creating an R&D budget for such initiatives. The

Cruise Ship Conventions Planning Discussion

cruise ship venue for 2025 to replace hotel-based meetings. Bob shared his
positive experience from a recent cruise, highlighting how spontaneous
activities and informal communication worked well without a strict agenda.

cruise ship conventions, with Burgin suggesting Oasis-class ships for
future events, while Bob emphasized the need to accommodate members who may
not be physically able to participate in a cruise.

who have shown extraordinary support and promotion of the organization over
many years.
Ham Radio Club Operations Update

members to reach out for assistance, noting that OMIK can help with
renewals for free. The group also discussed digital communication options
for younger members, with Frank explaining how they can participate using
smartphones and tablets. The scholarship committee reported awarding six
scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000, and the treasurer presented a
financial update showing a general fund balance of $21,147.17 and total
assets of $30,701.33. The next meeting was confirmed to be held before
Thanksgiving, with elections planned between Christmas and New Year's.
