Wow again thanks for responding.
I've started a project management site here:
https://sites.google.com/view/hbucs-on-the-air to collect and flesh out
our ideas.
Here's some questions that I have that you may have answers to:
- What permissions are required from the school to set up a station on
campus?
- Should the event be asynchronous like POTA or synchronous like an
annual special event station? What dates should work best
- When should the event take place?
I thought about Juneteenth but many campuses are empty and many of us like
to be with family on this day.
MLK day is too cold for outside stations in the DMV. What do you'll think?
- How should logging be done?
- What partner organizations should help?

Jesse,
Love it! Please let me know how ARRL may support this effort – certainly
include me in any press releases. We can at minimum get it in our news and
social media engines.

Hey folks thanks for your help with finding the call sign for Howard’s
Amateur Radio Society.
I just had an idea. What if we picked a day, probably not Juneteenth,
and decided to set up stations at HBCUs and give out QSL cards. I
think it would also be an opportunity to expose students in STEM
programs to ham radio.
What do you think?
