Call For Presentations Dealing with Radio and Propagation Science
Ham Radio Science Citizen Investigation (HamSCI) is organizing its annual
National Science Foundation (NSF) and Amateur Radio Digital Communications
(ARDC) funded radio and propagation science workshop. The workshop will be
held March 17-18 at the University of Scranton and online.
The purpose of HamSCI is to promote the continued collaboration of
scientists and #amateurradio operators. You don’t have to be a #hamradio
operator to take part.
This collaboration has resulted in peer-reviewed journal articles that have
been published primarily in the American Geophysical Union (AGU) journals.
As well, a Ph.D. dissertation was published in which all the data was
collected by radio amateurs over a year’s time.
One purpose of this workshop is to build stronger ties between scientists,
citizen scientists, and radio amateurs.
The workshop is open to all and in the past, we have had presentations by
people that included professors and middle school students. We are
particularly interested in increasing participation from traditionally
underrepresented groups.
The official call for papers can be viewed at https://hamsci.org/hamsci2023.
Links to previous workshop presentations can be found at https://hamsci.org

There are limited funds available to help cover travel expenses through the
ARDC and NSF grants.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
