At the USS Batfish, we have a (classroom) Student to (museum submarine)
Student amateur radio event scheduled for Dec 7th.

The attached article was pitched to QST, they liked the idea, but
declined.  The decision process ate up a huge amount of lead time and
preparation time.  I am hoping that OMIK Members will be able to hitch on
to the event.  It certainly needs attention, traction and most importantly
hams reaching out to those teachers that have been sitting on the fence
about having a 1-day ham radio event.

Please look at the event and try to find a way to say YES!

The available time is going to make even the best of us work extra hard to
achieve a successful event.

I have attached some great links and facts about amateur radio. Including
hi-lighting one young student that transformed from super shy to successful
peer/coach.

Thank you for all you have done over the years to bring more youth into
amateur radio.
