work with a person? I checked the ARRL site and found information about tests and books with information but no classes. Do they
exist?
Howdy! Congrats on asking about getting licensed. In my humble opinion, there are
not enough hams out there. (I'm a volunteer examiner.)
There should be 3 or 4 clubs all over the state that have regular classes, it just
depends on where you're located. Clubs in the Tulsa, OKC/Norman, and Stillwater
areas for sure have classes. I think Pryor and Muskogee have had them in the
recent past as well.
There's also several books and computer test aids that can help you out, and
there's also at least one Internet site that offers the tests just as if you were at
a real testing session.
Are you interested in the Technician, General, Extra, or 5 WPM CW tests?
Good luck!
