Infragard (http://www.infragard.net) is an information-sharing project
which partners Department of Justice (FBI is the lead) and
business/private sector operations.
As you can see, here is an opportunity to share what ham radio does and
perhaps improve the Infrastructure which Homeland Security is attempting
to protect.
I have already shared Hinternet with the list.
Let me know how more I can help.

This message is being sent to InfraGard Chapter Presidents for
discussions
of national InfraGard matters.
*********
The Communications committee has been talking about means to contact
members if we were ever in a "Net Down" situation.
Example: Some new and devastating worm takes out every router on the
Internet.
How do we coordinate efforts to troubleshoot the problem? How do we get
a fix, after one is found, and distribute it to InfraGard members who
may be willing to help their local businesses get the problem fixed for
their corner of the Internet? How do we inform people about the fix, if
we are "Net Down"? No email. Possibly no telephone.
We are RESEARCHING the possibility of using HAM Radio to contact
InfraGard members.
In order to discuss the options more fully, and get knowledgable HAM
Operators from all chapters to participate in the conversation, we are
asking for you to pass this message on to your chapter membership
through whatever means your chapter has for such things.
Follow the link below to join the list and begin participating in the
conversation:

This is *NOT* an FBI/InfraGard controlled mailing list. The list is
being hosted and moderated from the Birmingham Chapter of InfraGard.
