Hello to all members on the list
My name is Ed Harwood and my call sign is KF5RH. I live in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and I would like to tell those on the list about the Internet Radio Linking Project. For me ham radio has been a lot more fun since I setup my IRLP Node here in Ardmore on 145.55 Simplex. All it takes is 100 MHZ or better computer, a Sound Blaster Card, an 800 meg hard drive, a CD ROM, and about 32 meg of ram. It requires an IRLP Card, radio interface cable, and Red Hat Linux 6.2 OS. I am running a Yaesu FT-1500M 2 meter radio for my Node radio. The system is very secure, and works fantastic.
If you have any questions about IRLP just reply off the list, or go to the IRLP web site located at http://www.irlp.net
I will close for now, 73's.
Ed, KF5RH
