Well, I messed this reply trying to say no joy with the 3y1vc bigtime efforts but have worked all the ops since. Actually worked the astronaut on ssb with my arthur godfrey kwm2a and a 312b5 for split 🙂 after all these years a bigtime cw pileup on a truly rare one still really gets my juices going! Looking for more fun from the island of grass skirts... best, roger

Seems a lot easier this time 🙂 back in the day well '77 anyway I recall the few weeks in march chasing 3y1vc. He would come up some evenings after dark on the bottom end of 20 and sign 3y1vc and then after the Q sign 1vc and listen up a couple simplex for the next caller. Humongous pile of course, but he would finally pick one out. Then 1vc, up 2or so and rinse and repeat till he got to 14100. Then QRT till the next appearance. Night after night after night seeking the joy of that new one... enjoy the efforts of these days-hi roger
