Good Morning OKDXA...

The OKDXA Boaard of Directors has approved and a donation of 190 Euros
has been made to the TO8FH - Mayotte DXpedition. A team of 12 operators
from the Radio Club de Provins F6KOP (France) will operate all bands
6-160 meters using the CW, SSB, RTTY, and FT8 modes. The operation is
planned for October 10-22, 2023.

They have announced that MSHV multi-streaming 2-5 slots will be used,
so no F/H, you can call normal mode below 1000. Just don't call on their
transmit frequencies. They plan on up to 7 active stations on the air.
Several of the team are quite experienced DXpedition operators. The
group logged 73,464 QSOs in October 2022 from D60AE.

Mayotte is currently #110 on the global Clublog Most Wanted List. It
is however ranked #76 in North America on the Most Wanted List.

Here is another thing I like about this group. The following is taken
from their website:

To benefit from a fast LoTW confirmation it has become more and more
common to have to pay or, otherwise, to wait 6 months to a year (or even
more). F6KOP does not support this practice. TO8FH log will be on LoTW
as soon as we return from the expedition. LoTW will therefore be free
and immediate for everyone. If you want to help us, everyone is free to
make a donation (without any obligation). Donors via Clublog of an
amount equal or greater than 6 euros will automatically benefit of free
OQRS request for their direct QSL.

So, at least someone (besides me) is not happy with the pay-to-play
recent trend regarding QSL practices...

For more info here is the URL to the DXpedition website:
   https://to8fh.wordpress.com

Hope everyone puts several QSOs with TO8FH in the log... We are going
to busy this fall with all these DXpeditions to work...

73,
Jeff - K5WE
OKDXA Pres.
