[OKDXA] Number One Honor Roll

HI ROGER,  hang in there and eventually you will get the ones you need. I had number one dxcc in Alaska with 342 countries included north korea,  I moved stateside and had to start over, now up to 325 countries confirmed.  mostly on wire antennas here in lower 48 states, It just takes good propagation and luck with lots of determination to keep calling and finally the dx will get you. I am using wire at 20ft and ground mounted 43ft vertical here.  Hex-Beam is broken.  been at it for 47yrs and have enjoyed chasing dx and also chatting with other hams around the world for years and meeting new ham friends, Mainly need patience and taking time to listen, most dx-peditioners have a pattern and listening, you can figure it out and be at right place to call. Getting old here too, not sure will make honor roll again, but hope to be in heaven when time comes all else is beside the point hi.

Your right about it not being a function of…..

Especially now with FT8 . Where you’ll see a -23 and a + 10 report on the
same report line.
If your able to keep calling long enough the lottery will work for you. No
DX skill required.

The biggest factor - It’s age.
Being alive and an active DXer a long time determines whether you’ve
worked them all.
You will notice All the big DXCC totals belong to the OF’s

Keep active and don’t die Roger and Eventually that DX entity you need
will come around again for you.
