Subject TO8FH - Mayotte - 24.918

TO8FH - Mayotte - An OKDXA supported DXpedition
Now on 24.918 FT8
Per their website, they are using MSHV software for FT8, so multi-streaming but no F/H. You can call them normal mode above or below 1000, just don't call on their transmit frequencies. It seems most European groups are using MSHV. I finally worked them after calling well over an hour with a yagi and 800 watts. Presently, on this station they usually are running one stream. Signal strength is good, in the plus db. A few sequences they had two or three streams, but usually only one. It appears they have max periods set for 4. I often see them call a station 4 times with no response, then they go on to the next one...
Good luck, Reunion in the Indian Ocean is always a tough path...

73,
Jeff - K5WE
