   OKDXA 2023 Fall Banquet Summary:
   The annual OKDXA Fall Banquet was held at the National Weather Center 
in Norman on September 30, 2023. The agenda included a tour of the 
National Weather Center, a Barbeque meal catered by Rib Crib Barbeque, a 
brief introduction by Jeff - K5WE, the presentation of our featured 
speaker, Dr. Michael Stock, a research scientist at the National Weather 
Center, who did a talk on "Radio Characteristics of Lightning", and our 
fundraiser OKDXA raffle.
   We had a total of 22 in attendance at the event, 11 club members and 
11 visitors.
   My thanks once again to the DX Engineering and Tennedyne/Cubex Quads 
companies for donating prizes for our raffle. Thanks also to Kim - N5OP 
for his assistance scheduling this event at the National Weather Center.
   Income from attendance fees, raffle ticket purchases, and some 
donations was $754.00. Our food expense to Rib Crib was $556.88. We may 
still have one more bill to pay for the use of the meeting room, around 
$100... So, we broke even, plus a few bucks...
