Jeff wasn't W8S doing the same thing. Euro's to get a  LOTW.

Tough time for a new DX starting out.

Five dollars a QSO or more.

The bureau back in the day saved me.
House payments, kids in braces, all that stuff.
You could....
Send out a stack of cards via the buro and eventually they'd come back.
or
Look 'em up in the W6Go list. Find the address in the Flying Horse or the
Soviets went to Box 88
and a
Green stamp (1$) and a SAE got a QSL from everybody

I do however insist on any new band, rare as that is now, I get a real QSL.
Old ways die hard.

Anything else I couldn't care any less if I get any form of confirmation
for my efforts.

Like the OKDXA logo say's, they are   - "for the fun of it"

I seen to many OM's croak and the YL ask me what do I do with all the
cards. I say use them to start a fire in the fireplace. They didn't mean a
thing to anybody but him.
My wife will never need any kindling.
