Hope it's more reliable than, say, Twitter.

If their internet provider supports it, they should be using NTP and if their computers on the island are networked, they should all be peered together in NTP.  Even if they don't have an outside source to discipline their time, connecting them all together with NTP will usually keep them within a few ms of UTC at least for the length of their stay.
