[OKDXA] Zoom Help Needed

Jeff,
I've got a paid Zoom account and I am planning to be at Green Country.
All we need to do is create a meeting from my account (I'll need the time)
and forward the meeting details to the membership. I can send that
information to you for distribution. I don't know if you want to run it
from your laptop (allowing for screen share) or if you would prefer a
separate machine that can show the crowd, the presentations/presenters and
monitor comments. I can accommodate either way.
While the invite will contain connection details, some additional
instruction might be in order. Due to the limited bandwidth at the
Claremore Expo, it would be best for Zoom attendees to keep their video off
and mics muted. If someone wants to make a comment, the spacebar works to
open the mic like a PTT, ensuring that mics stay muted when not needed. A
better alternative for comments and questions would be the chat side bar,
which I can monitor for you during the presentation. We can fine tune
however you like, but with limited time it might be best for Zoom attendees
to be spectators until we get to the Q&A (time permitting).
Let me know if I can help.

Mark - K5YAC

Subject: [OKDXA] Zoom Help Needed
Good Morning OKDXA...
The OKDXA will meet at the Green Country Hamfest on April 9, 2023. I
would like to do a Zoom session of that meeting to allow those who can not
attend in Claremore the ability to connect remotely from home. It would also
allow the presentation to be recorded and uploaded to our website for future
viewing.
So, I need some help with Zoom. Ideally it would be nice to "borrow"
someone's Zoom that has a paid subscription. If nobody has that, the free
version allows a 45 minute session. We only have 50 minutes for the meeting,
so a 45 minute session would probably work. I need a volunteer who has some
experience with using Zoom as a host, and would be willing to set up our
session as the host, and will commit to attending the Green Country
meeting...
Please let me know if you can help out... Thanks...
73,
Jeff - K5WE
