The flare itself was slow rising and peaked at 20:16 UTC (Feb 17)fThe 20:00Z Solar Flux was reported as 343. obviously exaggerated by the 10.7 cm solar noise reading being taken as the X2.2 fare was peaking. 6M ops, don't be surprised if we see some SA signals coming into this area in the days to come. On Wednesday, while I was away from the house, KO2F, who lives just a few miles south of me, copied and called an HB9 station on 50.313 MHz while stations in W5 and 9 land were calling/working other Europeans.
