I will check internally if there's a reason we only go back so far. I'd like to read it, too...

Jeff:

I’d like to read the QST article about the previous Bouvet Operation. Please send me the PDF. I tried to do this via the ARRL website but for some reason the screen where I could select the QSTs only goes back to about the year 2010.

I need help from the guy who can “move mountains”. Literally. His first assignment would be to move that rock just NW of the 3Y0J setup.

For an interesting story read "The Club Bouvet, 3Y5X, Story" from QST October 1990.

This was by far the most successful Bouvet DXpedition, making some
47,000 QSOs... This was the one I worked for Bouvet.

You can get Oct 1990 QST from the ARRL website, QST Archives. Note the similarities and differences experienced by the 3Y5X group and the 3Y0J group... Some notable differences: Total number of QSOs, % of QSOs with NA, Cost - $330K vs $715K. Location - 3Y5X camped on the NW coast of the island at Nyroysa, 3Y0J camped at Cape Fie on the SE coast. 3Y5X group had a helicopter...
If you have trouble accessing the QST archive, I can send you a .pdf of the article...

Jeff - K5WE
