[OKDXA] Huntsville Hamfest

Anyone going to Huntsville Hamfest?  

 

This will be our first trip and we are looking forward to it.  We are
heading out tomorrow (Tuesday) and will be at Monte Sano State Park in our
motorhome for 5 nights.  I have an Aunt and Uncle in Huntsville, so we are
going a little early to pay them a visit.  

 

Not planning to exhibit this year, more of a scouting mission for next year.
I've always heard that Huntsville is a great time, and the RV park sounds
like a lot of fun.  Many of the XYLs are travelling to camp (including my
wife, Stephanie), so it should be fun for the ladies out there too.  The
forecast looks great with temps in the mid-80s to mid-60s, and I hear it's
slightly cooler on top of Monte Sano so it should be good campfire weather
and I also plan to set up my portable station to operate.  We'll be at the
DX Banquet on Saturday night.  If any of you plan to attend, drop a line so
we might have an eyeball QSO!
