Re-Cap: OKDXA Fall Banquet 2022

   The OKDXA Fall Banquet was held on Saturday October 22, 2022 at the 
QTH and business address of Mark Chouinard - K5YAC. Mark is the owner of 
the Tennedyne and Cubex Quads Antenna companies. A meal of BBQ and sides 
from 2 Pops Catering of Tulsa was provided. Presentations were given by 
N5OT - Mark, K5WE - Jeff, and our featured speaker was K5YAC - Mark, who 
did a presentation about the Tennedyne and Cubex Quads antenna 
companies.
   I want to give a special thanks to Mark Chouinard for hosting our 
banquet. His facility was a great meeting place. Mark and his wife 
Stephanie provided the drinks, plates, silverware, etc. for the meal. 
The club's only expense for this event was for the BBQ, sides, and 
cobblers, which totaled $379.77. We had a total attendance of 26, maybe 
27. Eleven of those were OKDXA members, others were wives and visitors. 
Mark paid the banquet fee for some of the visitors and also made a cash 
donation to the club. Mark also provided a new ARRL Handbook, a new ARRL 
Antenna Book, two VHF Cubex Quad Antennas, and a $100 Tennedyne/Cubex 
gift certificate for the raffle. Mark's brother also made a $250 
donation to the OKDXA from his company, C-Com.
   We had some nice prizes for the raffle. In addition to those mentioned 
above, DX Engineering gave us five $100 gift certificates for the 
raffle. Thanks Tim! There were also several other nice items donated by 
attending members. Roger Simpson donated a new Yaesu FT-891 Transceiver 
to new ham KI5NRM - Mike Aichele.
   So, I think we had a good time. It was definitely a profitable night 
for the OKDXA. Roger said he made a deposit of $1075.00 in our bank 
account. Hope those of you who attended enjoyed it...  Tell Mark and 
Stephanie thanks for their hospitality...
