[OKDXA] OKDXA Fall Banquet

Gloria and I had been looking forward to the DX Banquet 
in Collinsville, especially since we'd never had a chance to 
go to the Bristow banquets.  I've found that my oldest son 
and his wife will be down from Indiana during that same 
weekend and since we haven't seen them for nearly a 
year, and I don't travel well, we're going to have to 
withdraw from making the meeting.  There aren't too many 
things that would knock us out of that meeting but this is 
one of those few things.  I hope it hasn't thrown any kind 
of monkey wrench into the gears.

It would have been nice to visit with all the guys but, 
perhaps we can make it next year.  I did also anticipate 
seeing Mark's facility there but maybe there will be some 
pictures.

I still like my membership in the OKDX but I feel less and 
less like a DXer.  The rotator cable on my TailTwister is 
broken so I can't turn my beam.  I see notes from Gary 
that he's had good luck with his vertical but when you've 
got a nice unrotatable beam, it's like having a really nice, 
expensive automobile but you can't drive it.  Kinda takes 
all the wind out of one's sails.

I hope you all have a great time at Mark's place and I'll 
check afterward, just in case there was a picture or two.
