I've been listening to VU4W for the last 1.5 hours, beginning about
10:30 local on 14.090 FT8. He is just now fading into the sunset... Had
good copy for nearly an hour and a half. I called and called, but alas
no QSO. I have worked him on 17 FT8 and 15 CW but thought I would try 20
since he was coming in so good. He was working mostly Europe and an
occasional W... This time, he was definitely not F/H, he was
transmitting on the 2nd sequence. He was using two streams, the first
starting about 988 Hz. So, calling stations could call him above or
below his frequency, and some did... The amazing thing to me was how
many stations called him on HIS sequence. I mean, it's impossible to
hear him if you call him at the same time he is transmitting, right? And
you can't work 'em if you can't hear 'em, right? Why is this principal
so difficult to understand?? Hi...
DX Is!
