[OKDXA] Elecraft Repair

Good Afternoon OKDXA...
  
  Since I put a note out about 6 weeks ago regarding the repair of my
Elecraft K3, I thought I would give you an update...
  I sent my K3 in to Elecraft for repair on 22Oct21. The problem was poor
receiver sensitivity, all bands.
  Friday, 28Jan22, received my K3 back from repair by Elecraft. Replaced a
diode D25 on the RF board. Total cost including shipping: $481.27. Time it
took for the repair - 3 months, 6 days... 
  It appears to be working normally so far... 
  My track record with Elecraft products: Sent my K3 in twice for repair,
total cost almost a thousand dollars. Sent my KPA500 in for repair twice,
total cost a little over a thousand dollars. Don't have the KPA500
anymore... 
  I like the performance of the Elecraft gear, but it sure is expensive to
keep it running...
