[OKDXA] The Problem with Snow Days...

Snow days can cause problems. My rotator is also frozen.

However, one good thing FINALLY happened. My 5 band DXCC plaque with endorsement medallions for 12m, 17m, and 30m arrived today. I talked to Sharon Tarantula back in October and she told me that many plaques are being delayed due to holdups in shipping the plaques from China. Maybe my award spent a few weeks – or months – sitting between San Pedro and Catalina waiting to be unloaded from a cargo container on a ship.

Right now my beam is frozen pointing due West -- i. e. to VK land. I don’t know if there is any propagation to VK or not for us. I’m going to turn on the rig and listen around on 17m, 15m, and 12m on FT8.

Not to worry, conditions are horrible today anyways. Probably due to the
CME that occurred the other day. I think the K index was 5 earlier. I
wasn't copying any EU stations on 17m or 15m FT8 this morning.
