[OKDXA] What a Revoltin' Development...

Kim:

I did not know that the 5 Band DXCC only counted current entities. I have a hypothetical question. Lets say that you had 102 confirmed “current” countries and they were confirmed and added to your official DXCC total for 10 meters. Then lets say that three of your QSOs for DXCC credit on 10 meters have since become deleted. Does that imply that your award no longer valid – even if you have the plaque hanging on your shack wall.

I have a 5 band DXCC right now with endorsement medallions for 30meters, 17meters, and 12meters. I don’t know if the DXCC count for the 5 band DXCC is subject to being cancelled if too many entities become deleted. Say I worked “Podunk Island” on 20, 17, 15, and 12 and last week it was deleted. Could this potentially cause my 8 band DXCC to be null and void?

BTW there is a semi rare one on right now on FT8 on 10meters 28.074 Mhz. I worked him a few minutes ago. This is only the 2nd time I’ve worked Angola The call is D2UY.

It turns out that I don't yet have my 5BDXCC: while I have 100 entities
(exactly) on 10 m, I'd missed the rather important fact that three of
those are deleted. Which means I have only 97 *current* entities. having
seen the magic "100" on 10 m, I neglected to check how many were
current. Sigh.

The good news is 10 m is regularly hot as a firecracker so I should be
able to find those needed three without too much pain.

MX, 73, and see you in the pileups,

Kim N5OP
