[OKDXA] DXpedition Support

Good Afternoon OKDXA...
   Today I received a check in the mail from the Oklahoma DX Association 
for $100.00 in support of my DXpedition to Chatham Island. OKDXA, I 
thank you for your support!. Our budget for this trip exceeds $10,000. 
So, any and all financial support is appreciated.
   For the record, I did not ask for this. I didn't think that would be 
proper, since I am the Club President. I appreciate those who spoke up 
and suggested the support.
   By the way, financial disbursements need the approval of the OKDXA 
Board of Directors, which includes 8 people, the 5 directors, and the 3 
elected officers. Any board member or any club member can propose a 
donation to a DXpedition.
   I gave a power point presentation at the Green Country Hamfest meeting 
about our criteria for support. It's a general policy, there is some 
lee-way for exceptions. If you know of a DXpedition which you think 
would benefit from our support, feel free to contact me or any other 
member of the board. We will take it under advisement...
   Anyway, thanks again... Hope to work many of you in September from
