This is an EXCELLENT piece. It hits nearly all the points I’ve heard discussed. I admit that I fundamentally think the issue of human initiation of computer-to-computer QSOS is silly. As he points out, we’re a technology hobby. Let the technology take us to new experiences. I also agree that there’s benefit: while the digital modes manage the QSOs, humans can manage the truly manual modes, the equipment, and look after the total operation.
Just my $0.02.
