As you are all now aware, the Green Country Hamfest. originally
scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 9 and 10, has been cancelled
due to the pandemic. As disappointing as that is, there's not a Hamfest
out there worth endangering our health. Soon enough, we'll see them
blossom again and I certainly want to see everyone one of you there. So,
OKDXA is going virtual again this year. Mark your calendars: Saturday,
10 April, at 1900 CDT (that's 0000 UTC on 11 April) we'll start our
virtual meeting via Zoom (link will be forthcoming). The very first item
in this announcement is: please renew your membership *right now.* This
email can wait until you're done...

Finished? No? OK, we'll wait...
   ...dum dee dum.......
   ...hmmm hmm tra la dee.......
   ...da dee doo.......
   ...hum hum doseedo.......
   ...ummm.......
Oh? Need a bit more time? No problem. Remember: we take PayPal, now!
...Lessee here... Good: no ATNOs spotted today so I didn't miss
one.......
...Wow: 15 m is still open to South America.......
...20 m is hanging in well to Europe.......
   ...Not much on 160 tonight.......
...Huh. 6 m is open to MN!.......
Done? Great! Thanks! Now we can keep you name on the OKDXA roster!

The first item of business for our meeting is that Jeff Martin's (K5WE)
term as our Secretary/Treasurer expires this year. He has graciously
agreed to serve a second term. If anyone else wants the job, now is the
time to throw you hat in the ring. If no one else does by April 1, Jeff
will be it for another two years. As a reminder both Randy Wing, N0LD,
and I will term-limit out NEXT YEAR, so two offices will need to be
filled at the next Green Country Hamfest. Finally, I'll also make a
*BRIEF* (I promise!!) presentation on the state of the Logbook of the
World. More details will be put on our web site.

Now for why you're Zooming in: Robert Brandon, K5PI, will present his
experiences with the 2019 TX7T DXpedition to the Marquesas Islands!
OKDXA supported this one and, yes, I have them in the log on 15, 20, 30,
40, and 80 CW. I've seen his presentation (RHIP and all that) and it is
spectacular! Robert's presentation is pure eye-candy and red-meat radio.
I'll put a couple of pictures up on out web site to whet your appetite.

Do. Not. Miss it!

Remember: clear your calendar for 10 April at 1900 CDT (0000 UTC 11
April) As soon as it's available, a link will be sent out via the list
and will also be on the web site.

73 & CU in the pileups,

Kim N5OP
OKDXA Pres.
