I received this from Mark Klein, N5HZR, who got it as a request directly
from our Division Director, John Stratton. It's a perfect way for OKDXA
to make participate in significant improvements in LotW. This is a big
opportunity for our club! Here's the scoop from Mark
"ARRL is working on a ground-up rewrite of Logbook of the World. John
Stratton, N5AUS ,is looking for people that use LotW, are frustrated
with LotW, and would be willing to talk with him, and then in a second
Zoom call, with the ARRL CEO David Minster.
What he’s looking for are people that have strong feelings that LotW
needs to change, and have idea of how it needs to change, and are
willing to tell their story.
Kim, I suggested you and the OKDXA. Can you think of some of the ‘gang’
that would be a good fit for this?
Stratton and Minster know LotW has to change. They also realize it’s a
‘ground-up’ rebuild. They need support to ‘push this agenda item’. They
are also trying to work on a ‘funding mechanism’ to pay for these changes.
Would you, and any additional OKDXA’ers, be available for a Zoom call
with John, next Wednesday (3/17) evening at 7 pm?
Thanks,
Mark Kleine N5HZR

So, ladies and gentlemen, there we have it: OKDXA has the chance to make
a significant contribution towards improving LotW. Are we up for the
challenge? Begin discussion!
