Jeff:  Thanks for the info on Market Reef.   I was able to work him. He gave me a report of -22 which is a report that means he “just barely” heard me – even with the “signal boost” that FT8 provides compared to many other modes.  If you get anything more negative than about
-20 as a report on FT8 it is likely that in any other mode – including CW you would not be workable by the guy at the other end.
