[OKDXA] Tower mast

Metals Supermarket in Moore (just north of SE 89th Street)
carries 2" O.D. 1/4" wall aluminum tubing. I have a 24 foot
version as my mast which survived (with a bit of straightening)
the May 1999 F4 tornado that took the whole tower and antenna
systems down! It is currently in my tower which is laid over to
install coax for as many as 9 antennas!

Considerably lighter than the Chromalloy steel, but a bit weaker
as well.

I also have two 10' sections with a splice to build a "falling derrick"
fixture to tilt a hinged tower up and down.

Daniel, the DX Engineering Chromoly 4130 is the way to go. You can check Metals Supermarket website as they have a metals dealer/reseller in Moore. I have purchased heavy wall aluminum tubing and aluminum channel iron from them. Great service.

The DX Engineering Chromoly 4130 is very strong. Will hold whatever you want to put up. It's heavy, so shipping will be high.
